Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tri Haus LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), which operates EventFlow Ministry (“EventFlow”). They cover the EventFlow mobile app, the services it connects to, and this website (together, the “Service”). Please read them carefully.
1. Agreeing to these Terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle information. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a church, ministry, or other organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization as well, and you confirm that you have the authority to do so.
2. The Service
EventFlow helps churches and ministries coordinate volunteers: events, shifts, tasks, schedules, check-ins, equipment, and conversations among the people serving together. We are always working on EventFlow, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time. Some features may be labeled as early or experimental and may not work perfectly.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use EventFlow. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an organization or to act as an organization’s admin.
- Give accurate information when you create your account and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in methods secure. Do not share your account or let others use it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Organizations and their admins
An organization on EventFlow is a workspace for a church, ministry, or similar group. The people who manage it are its admins. If you are an admin, you are responsible for:
- Having the authority to set up and manage EventFlow for your organization.
- Deciding who you invite, the roles you give them, and removing people who should no longer have access.
- Having a lawful basis and any permission needed to add people and their information, including permission from a parent or guardian for any member under 18.
- Screening, supervising, and safeguarding your volunteers according to your organization’s own policies and the law, especially where volunteers serve with children or other vulnerable people. EventFlow does not screen volunteers or run background checks.
- How your organization uses EventFlow and the information in it, and making sure your members follow these Terms.
- Your organization’s subscription, if it has one.
Organization admins can see and manage information that members share with the organization. Members who have questions about how their organization uses EventFlow should contact that organization’s admins.
5. Subscriptions
The EventFlow app is free to download, and there are no purchases inside the app. Organizations may subscribe to use certain features. Subscriptions are purchased by an organization outside the app, on the web, and are managed by that organization’s admins. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices, billing periods, renewal, and cancellation terms are shown to the admin before purchase. An admin can cancel the organization’s subscription at any time, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless the terms shown at purchase say otherwise. If a subscription lapses, the organization’s information may become read-only until it is renewed.
6. Acceptable use
EventFlow has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post, send, or share content, or behave in a way, that:
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, intimidates, or demeans anyone.
- Is hateful or discriminatory toward people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or any similar characteristic.
- Is sexually explicit or pornographic. Any content that sexualizes or exploits a minor is strictly forbidden, will be removed, and will be reported to the authorities.
- Depicts or encourages violence, self-harm, or illegal activity.
- Shares someone else’s private information, such as their address, phone number, or photos, without their permission.
- Impersonates any person or organization, or misrepresents your connection to one.
- Is spam, unsolicited advertising, or a scam.
- Infringes anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
You also agree not to:
- Access or try to access accounts, organizations, or information you are not authorized to see.
- Upload viruses or other harmful code, or interfere with or disrupt the Service or the systems that run it.
- Scrape, copy, or collect information from the Service by automated means.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code of the app, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
- Get around security measures, usage limits, or subscription requirements.
- Use the Service in violation of any law.
7. Reporting and blocking
You can report a message or a user from within the app, and you can block a user so that you no longer see their messages. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these Terms, we remove it, and we suspend or remove the account that posted it. Organization leaders can also remove messages in their organization’s conversations.
You can also report content or behavior, including a claim that content infringes your copyright, by emailing [email protected]. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. EventFlow is not an emergency service.
8. Your content
“Your content” means the messages, photos, event details, and other material you add to the Service. You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, and display your content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and your organization, to keep it secure, and to comply with the law. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for copies in backups kept for a limited time and content that others in your organization have already received, such as messages in a conversation. We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not sell it.
You are responsible for your content. By adding it, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it follows these Terms. Content you share in an organization is visible to other members of that organization as described in our Privacy Policy. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
9. The event assistant
EventFlow can draft an event from a description you type or dictate. Drafts are produced by an artificial intelligence model and may contain mistakes, such as a wrong date, time, or place. Review every draft before you publish it. You are responsible for anything you publish, send, or invite people to. Nothing is published until you approve it.
10. Text message terms
EventFlow sends text messages for one purpose: account verification. When you enter your phone number in the app to sign in, or to add the number to your account, we send you a one-time code by text message.
- Message frequency varies with your sign-in activity, typically one message per request. This is not a recurring subscription, and it contains no marketing.
- Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages. Opting out does not close your account; you can still sign in with your email address.
- Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or text message opt-in status with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.
11. Our app and your license
The Service, including the app, its design, and the EventFlow name and logo, belongs to Tri Haus LLC and its licensors and is protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, and to use the Service, for your own and your organization’s coordination. We keep all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on and may link to services run by others, such as app stores, your calendar app, and payment processing. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Termination and account deletion
You can stop using EventFlow at any time. You can delete your account in the app by going to Profile, then Delete account, or by emailing [email protected]. What happens to your information when you delete your account is described in our Privacy Policy.
An organization’s admins can remove you from their organization. We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or remove content, if you break these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we need to in order to protect other users or the Service. If we stop offering the Service, we will try to give organization admins reasonable notice first.
When your access ends, your license to use the app ends too. The parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue, including sections 8 and 13 through 21, continue to apply after your access ends.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that notifications, messages, or reminders will always be delivered on time. Do not rely on EventFlow for emergencies or for anything where a missed message could cause harm. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, organization, or volunteer, on or off the Service.
Some places do not allow certain warranties to be disclaimed, so some of these disclaimers may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tri Haus LLC and its members, managers, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if we were told such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you or your organization paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 100 US dollars.
Some places do not allow these limitations, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless Tri Haus LLC and its members, managers, and employees from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your content, your misuse of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. This does not take away any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
18. Apps from the Apple App Store
If you downloaded the app from Apple’s App Store, these additional terms apply:
- Parties. These Terms are between you and Tri Haus LLC only, not Apple Inc. (“Apple”). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Scope of license. Your license to use the app is limited to using it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
- Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent they have not been effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you, if there was one. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation of any kind with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses caused by a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility, to the extent they have not been effectively disclaimed.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar laws.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a United States government embargo or that has been designated by the United States government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Developer contact. Questions, complaints, or claims about the app should be sent to Tri Haus LLC at the address in the Contact us section below.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, such as your wireless data service agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple has the right, and will be deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply to your use of the store, and Google is not a party to these Terms.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page with a new version and effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will let you know in the app or by email, and the app may ask you to accept the new version before you continue. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and delete your account. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept them.
20. General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any terms shown to an organization when it subscribes, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We may send you notices through the app or by email. Neither you nor we are liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control.
